Everest base camp trek of 12 Days starts with the scenic flight to Lukla-heart of the Himalayan region. After landing at Lukla Airport, other crew members of the trek will join us then the trail will begin walking towards Phakding-beautiful Sherpa Village in Dudh Koshi River Valley. Then after trail passes through other beautiful villages such as Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche. Namche is the most developed village in the Khumbu region as trekkers can find excellent restaurants, lodges, markets, cafes, and bakeries. During the trek, insane views of great panoramic peaks can be seen such as Thamserku (6623m), AmaDablam (6812m), Nuptse (7861m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Lhotse (8516m), Island Peak (6160m) and many other snowcapped peaks. 12 Days Everest Base Camp Trek Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu

Upon arriving at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu, one of our representatives will be there to receive you. Then after you will be transferred to your hotel to stay overnight.

Note: There will be a pre-trip meeting in our office according to your arrival in Nepal. If you arrive after 4 pm then there will be a meeting as soon as you arrive. But if you arrive at day time then the meeting can be held during the day. So during pre-trip meetings, you can ask all the questions related to your journey up to Everest. Similarly, you need to bring all the necessary documents such as a passport, a copy of the travel insurance policy, and pp-size photos.

Day 2

Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakdiing

Early in the morning, we will move to Kathmandu Airport to catch a domestic flight to Lukla which takes about 40 minutes. Lukla village is surrounded by mountain peaks as you can see during the flight as well. After landing we will meet our crew members and have lunch. Then after we will start walking towards Phakding just 3-4 hours faraway from Lukla. Our trail goes through the beautiful village of Lukla till we reach Phakding. Overnight stay at Phakding.

Day 3

Trek to Namche Bazaar

From Phakding, the trek continues along the riverbank of Dudhkoshi, and we will cross the river through suspension bridges several times. Then after the trail takes us towards Sagarmatha National Park, as we ascend upwards, eye-catching views can be seen. After reaching Namche, you can see the beautiful markets, shops, lodges, bakeries, and ATMS. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Day 4

Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Today we will have a leisure day and we can allow our body to adapt to the climate at the elevation of 3450 m. But to make our body more active we should not remain idle the whole day. Instead of remaining idle we can roam around the Namche Bazaar and explore its beauty. Namche Bazaar is the major place of this Khumbu Region where we can find shops, markets, cafes, and other attractive features. For best acclimatization, you can hike up to the village of Thame or Khude. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.

Day 5

Trek to Tengboche

Trek to Tengboche follows the trail along the rushing glacial waters of the Dushkoshi with dazzling views of panoramas. Upon reaching Tengboche, you can visit Tengboche Monastery, which is the largest monastery of Khumbu. Inside Monastery, you can see the ornate wall hanging, a 20-foot statue of Buddha, and musical instruments and robes of Lamas. Overnight stay at Tengboche.

Day 6

Trek to Dingboche

Rest Day in Dingboche

Dingboche to Laboche

Douglas is our next destination. We keep moving towards Khumbu Glacier. Walking with the view of Tawache and Chotlaste takes you to Lobuche. Due to geographical reasons, Lobuche is very cold. Overnight in Lobuche.

Day 9

Lobuche to Gorekshep and Everest Base Camp

The day has finally arrived when your dream will come into existence. We move further towards Everest Base Camp (EBC). It is a ground place where mountaineers make themselves ready to climb the highest peak of the world, Mt. Everest, which measures 8,848. No words can describe the feeling of being here. It is really a majestic touch for making yourselves available here. At noon we travel towards Gorakshep and spend our night.

Day 10

Gorekshep to Pheriche

Today early in the morning we move towards Kalapatthar which is our immediate destination. You are in such a place where you are folded by mountains everywhere. Walking for some hours we arrive at Pheriche and break our day. Overnight in Pheriche.

Day 11

Pheriche to Namche Bazar

While returning back we come across Tengboche now. The mountainous view really excites you well. We will explore Tengboche for a couple of hours. We again travel towards Namche Bazaar which is the ultimate destination for today. Overnight at Namche.

Day 12

Namche Bazar to Lukla

Day 13

Fly back to Kathmandu

Today is a day to get back to Kathmandu. We will catch a flight from Lukla. The air distance is about half an hour and you reach Kathmandu enjoying your glorious journey. You can even enjoy Kathmandu for some time and roam around. In the evening the staff of Adventure White Mountain will offer you a farewell dinner for successfully completing your trip.

Fly Back to Home
