The trek starts with your landing in Kathmandu with social touring around UNESCO World Heritage Sites and finishing off an outing preparation by guide trekking guide. At first, you drive or fly to Pokhara. The real trek begins from Mardi and takes you to Ribhan by means of Lachok. In the following five days, you with go through the serene towns of Chicheme Kharka, Kumai, Takru, Lwang and return to Pokhara by means of Mardi Pul. There, you find the social blend of different indigenous groups of Tamang, Gurung, Brahmins, and Magars. The amazing views of Annapurna Himalayan range along the trek will leave you with an enduring impression of the region and of your experience in Nepal. As a side-fun, you can do some bird-watching, fishing and a bit of cave-exploration during this trek to Nepal.

Machhapuchhre Model Trek Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

We will welcome you at the Airport and you will be transferred to the hotel. Here, your guide will brief you on the upcoming program. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2

Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu

After breakfast you will start sightseeing of famous places like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Bauddhanath, etc. After the sightseeing tour, you will return to hotel, have some rest and start preparation for next day trip.

Day 3

Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara on flight. After having 30 minutes flight you will be in the naturally beautiful town Pokhara. If you wish you can take a tourist bus which will be 6-7 hrs drive approximately. In the afternoon you will make sightseeing with your trekking guide. Overnight at lakeside hotel.

Day 4

Trek from Pokhara – Lachok – Ribhan

In the morning you will start your trekking from Pokhara to Ribhan village via Lachok. It takes about 4 to 5 hours, and is easy walking. Stay overnight in a camp.

Day 5

Trek from Ribhan – Odane Hill – Chichimle Kharka

On this day you will trek to Chichimle Kharka. Experience majestic views, forests upon forests of rhododendron, picturesque villages, and flora & fauna. The trek is around six hours from Ribhan to Odane Hill and on to Chichimle.

Day 6

Trek from Chichimle Kharka – Khumai

Today the trek starts from Chichimle kharka with gradual climb up the hill, most of the way through unexplored forests of oaks and rhododendron with occasional view of the Annapurna range. The village offers you a unique close-up view of Mount Annapurna South (7219m) , Fishtail, and Hiunchuli (6441m). Stay overnight at Camp.

Day 7

Trek from Khumai – Korchung – Kharka

Today the trail leads to Kharka via Korchung village from Khumai all the way of descends and flat through the Oak and Rhododendron Forest. Trekking time is about 4 hours today. Stay overnight in a camp.

Day 8

Trek from Kharka – Gibli – Takra

After breakfast, you will start your journey for Tarka. After having hot tea at Gibli, the trail leads to Tarka which winds through densely forested areas of rhododendron trees. Stay overnight in a camp.

Day 9

Trek from Takra – Lwanghalel

After you set out from Tarka, it is an easy downhill walk through villages. The central and western horizons will be there today with views of mountains. Later, a short but steep descent brings you to Lwanghael, where you will stay overnight.

Day 10

Trek from Lwanghale – Mardi Pool

A trek from Lwanghale to Mardi Pool, today, the route almost descends or flattens through the bank of Mardi River and passes several villages before coming at Mardi Pool. Stay overnight at a camp.

Day 11

Trek from Mardi Pool – Pokhara

On the last day of the trek, you will first come downhill until around mid day. The descent will bring you to Mardi Pool, from where you take the bus & travel to Pokhara.

Day 12

travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu

Today, we return to Kathmandu by tourist bus. In Kathmandu, you will go to the hotel and later, catch up on some last-minute shopping. You can explore any landmarks you missed during your prior stay in Kathmandu. In the evening, you are invited to join a Nepalese dinner together hosted by us. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13

Airport Transfer

Here ends your trip in Nepal our representative will drop you at Airport thank you for booking your trip with us see you again
