You will arrive in Paro on this day. Our Bhutanese representative will welcome you to the country and help you with any required documentation. You will drive to Thimphu then.

The drive will be short. Rest in your hotel for a couple of hours. If time allows, you may visit Ta Dzong and Rinpung Dzong. If not, explore the local market and rest.

Today, you will spend a full day exploring different tourist sites in Thimphu with your guide. After breakfast, visit the National Memorial Chorten. The third king of Bhutan built it, but unfortunately, he died before the completion of the chorten.

Later, a monument was made as his memorial. From here, you will drive to a 12th-century temple called Changangkha Temple. Then, visit the Drubthob monastery, which houses the Zilukha nunnery.

The tour then continues to the National Library, Traditional Paper Factory, and Folk Heritage Museum. Spend the evening exploring the bustling Thimphu Market.

You will travel to Punakha on this day. Follow a scenic highway from Thimphu and ride to Dochula Pass (3,200 m). Take a moment here to enjoy the stunning mountain view. Further, drive to your hotel in Punakha. Get some rest and visit a few tourist sites with your guide.

You will explore the second-largest dzong in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong. It was made at the confluence of two rivers, Pho Chhu and, Mo Chhu, in the 17th century. Punakha Dzong is very beautiful, with glistening rivers, gardens, and intricate architecture.

From here, drive to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten. It was built in 2004 following traditional Bhutanese architecture teaching. The Chortens aim to bring peace and harmony to the world. The view of Punakha Valley is excellent from here.

Drive back to your hotel to spend the night.

Start the day early in the morning with a quick hike to Chimi Lhakhang Temple. It is a famous fertility temple where couples visit to get blessings for a child. After exploring the temple, you will get ready to drive to Bumthang.

You will pass by a lovely little town called Trongsa on the way. The highway crosses the Yotong La Pass and enters Chumey Valley. Likewise, you will also drive past Yathra Weaving Center.

Rest for a bit in your hotel in Bumthang and later visit monasteries like Tamshing Lhakhang, Kurje Lhakhang, and Jambay Lhakhang. Bumthang is a hiking heaven for travelers who love adventure and nature. You will also visit Jakar Dzong.

In the evening, you are free to relax and explore the local market.

On this day, you will drive back to Paro. It is a long ride back to Paro from Bumthang, so you will leave your hotel early. The highway is the same as before.
