About Sirubari Village Tour
Sirubari is a small village located on the southern slopes of the Annapurna range at 1700 meters above sea level. The altitude and orientation of the village ensure a comfortable climate regardless of the season. It is located around 20 km southwest from Pokhara, which is the nearest large city. The living and thriving traditions of this tiny but important village come into blend with the superior hospitality it offers.
Although a mere 20 km, an average group takes an average of five hours to reach the village from Pokhara, which is quite a wonderful experience in itself. The village of Sirubari is populated entirely by the Gurung people. It is a small village with neat trails connecting houses made out of slate and stone. It is quite a remarkable experience that might remind of quite European hamlets and villages from the medieval era. The views towards the north are spectacular, and equally mesmerizing are the views of the south in the direction of the Tarai. To see panoramic views of the mountains, you need to take a short walk above the village. It is a view that is hard to find from elsewhere in the region.
