About Langtang Region Trek
Sharing a border with Tibet, Langtang lies in the north of Kathmandu. Langtang Region is inhabited by Tamang people as they are the native of this place. The region is enveloped by Langtang National Park. The park inhabits several animals and among them, Himalayan black bear, Himalayan Thar, and rhesus monkey are easily visible.
The park is also a home for Red Panda, an endangered species of earth. Besides mountains, there are lots of lakes in this area and due to this reason, the importance of Langtang Region Trekking has excelled. More than 100 lakes are found here of which Gosaikunda Lake is a much popular one as it has religious significance.Gosaikunda, Helambu and Langtang Valley Trek are popular trekking destinations of Langtang Region. The region is well known for the Hyolmo culture the culture of Tamang people.
